Why read my blog? Well, I have been inspired by Jen Lancaster, author of Bitter is the New Black to start blogging.
My name is Amanda (a.k.a Manders) and I am a 27 year old housewife (not by choice, but by the fact I am not able to find work. I have tried every avenue and can't even get retail work now. That is quite sad, in my opinion.
Anyways, I have been married to Cam for almost two years and am so very happy. He really gets me, and not a lot of people do. We have four children with fur. I will be talking quite a bit about them on here. Our oldest is Vanna, who is three years old. She is a big mutt who is mostly white but has a brown patch over her eye and a brown ear. Quincy just turned three, and is a Flame Point Siamese. Cam says that when he dies, he is going to stuff him and make him a pillow. Hermione is his "girlfriend" and she is a black short haired cat. I think that's just a generic term for a lovable, "mutt". She is a bit of an attention whore, if you ask me. Lastly, we have my baby, Sage. He is some sort of Terrier/Rottweiler mix, we do believe. Sage is 70 pounds of excitable energy who never leaves my side. He is very protective and we sympathize with anyone who gets in his way. He is named Sage because we already have Vanna White, so why not Pat Sajack too? :)
When I am not playing with the dogs, I am either job searching or reading. I am a HUGE book nerd and can talk books for hours and hours on end. (Just ask my book club!!!) I am a book buying addict but am trying to really curb that, since we are now having cash flow issues. I also am really trying to exercise more. I am on Jenny Craig, and while I have lost half of my desired weight, the latter half is taking me FOREVER to lose!
I really want to write a book. I am not sure what to write about. Any suggestions would be great! If anyone wishes to write to me, you can either respond on here or email me at bookishmanders@gmail.com.
